  21. think of 5 or 6 explanations for this seemingly straightforward question.
  22. Unfortunately they would be nothing but pure speculation without having
  23. total access to your system as well as the system your connecting with.

  25.     How about the other modem(s) could be explicitly configured this way? How
  26. about your modem being crippled? How about having an AT command set
  27. improperly? And the list goes on.... It doesn't have to be line conditions
  28. and once you focus there you overlook every other possibility.
