- think of 5 or 6 explanations for this seemingly straightforward question.
- Unfortunately they would be nothing but pure speculation without having
- total access to your system as well as the system your connecting with.

- How about the other modem(s) could be explicitly configured this way? How
- about your modem being crippled? How about having an AT command set
- improperly? And the list goes on.... It doesn't have to be line conditions
- and once you focus there you overlook every other possibility.
